Every comparison on StackTested is built the same way: we read the public docs and pricing pages, we note where the limits and gotchas actually are, and we tell you what we could not verify. No vendor paid for placement. No star ratings invented out of thin air.
How we compare
- Read the docs first. Pricing pages, limits pages, and plan terms, checked against third-party write-ups.
- Separate docs research from hands-on testing. Every guide labels which claims came from public docs and which came from actual use. Most of our guides are docs-based research, and they say so.
- Lead with the gotcha. Free tiers, daily caps, sleeping servers, required cards: the thing that ruins your weekend is the thing we put first.
- Update when prices change. Guides are dated. If a number is stale, tell us at northloopworks@proton.me and we will fix it.
